Snow Mountain Ranch

GO TO THE MOUNTAINS

Well, December 4th is coming up soon and I thought I would get some images up. We spent Memorial Day driving up to the pass. We started out with a coffee and donuts in Idaho Springs. Somebody here has seen M*A*S*H at least one time too many.

We then got the courage to go up the pass. People refer to going to any place on the other side of the divide as "going up the hill". They have finally finished the expensive refurb of Berthoud Pass. When we first came out here they had it all torn up and it was scary. Now making the trip to 11.307 feet above sea level is a piece of cake. And yes the snow in the background on May 26th is still a couple of feet thick. Hope for two things...major snow and major plowing!

It is just about 70 plus miles from Denver to Snow Mountain Ranch...but closer than that if you travel in a straight line. And you will not be travelling in a straight line. After hitting the pass it 10 or so miles to Winter Park and another 10 past that to the Ranch.

This is the outside of one of the two identical cabins that we will get. Red head boy is just for scale Welcome to the bunkhouse. The first floor has this "kids room" for the young ones.
This is not the honeymoon suite but who takes their whole family on the honeymoon. Here is the dining room.
This is the living room. I purposely photographed from this corner so as to not hight light the TV in the corner (4 channels) This is one of three rooms on the third floor.
Second room on the 3rd floor 3rd room on the 3rd floor. Enough beds that almost no one has to have a top bunk.
Tried to get the view in the photo....emphasis on tried. Living room looking out on the porch.
Living room. Porch, duh!
Furnished kitchen. Complete with plates, pots, pans and 2 coffemakers. Side view of the cabin.
Rear of the cabin. View from the road
